At Grand Union Pets all grooming is holistic and carried out at our 'in-the-window' salon in Maida Vale. Cats and dogs of all breeds are welcome. We have a range of spa treatments available to choose from including the popular Mango Tango, the introductory Puppy Love or the de-greasing Fruit Bath. Please scroll down the page for details.
Pricing
Fees for dog grooming start at £28 but are determined by size and breed as well as condition of the coat. Grooming for cats is generally about £40. We also offer Quick Visits / tidy-ups and The Pawdicure, as featured on Times Online. Scroll down the page for more details.
Spa Treatments at Grand Union Pets
Spa treatments at Grand Union Pets are designed around the needs of your pet’s coat and his or her health and wellness – whether your pet needs a shampoo for sensitive skin, de-greasing or de-tangling, or natural colour enhancing with Evening Primrose Oil. Our shampoos are vitamin rich and made of the finest natural ingredients to bring out the essential beauty of your pet’s coat.
Our spa treatments include the following:

~ Full brush-out and de-matting
~ Ear cleaning and plucking
~ Gentle tooth-cleaning
~ Nails clipped and Pawdicure including trim between the pads and paw balm
~ Styling and scissoring to breed standards

Our groomer Zuzana is City & Guilds Qualified and is a trained veterinary nurse. She is happy to provide advice on the following treatments and shampoos:
Puppy Love
Tearless and extra gentle this shampoo is ph-balanced to give puppies the correct treatment their sensitive skin and coat deserves whilst also preparing the puppy's coat for adulthood.
De-greasing Fruit Bath
A deep cleansing and invigorating treatment with shampoo made of natural extracts of tangerine and grapefruit. Removes excess oils and deep cleans while leaving the coat full of body and shine.
Sensitive Touch Healing Bath
With natural anti-inflammatory Aloe Vera and Jojoba this is an ideal treatment to soothe skin allergies and sensitivities. This shampoo will cleanse and prevent irritable skin, moisturise the skin and coat.
Mango Tango
Our most popular the Mango Tango is a general purpose spa treatment. This shampoo is made with real mangoes and bananas for a great source of vitamins. The Mango Tango will clean and soften your pet’s coat and bring out its natural lustre and shine.
Pesky Pets Flea Bath
For puppies and dogs over 12 weeks old this is an effective treatment against fleas and ticks that will also soothe the skin from the irritation of bites.
Colour enhancing shampoos with Evening Primrose Oil (EPO)
Evening Primrose Oil is ideal for dogs with sensitive skin including dry and flaky skin and allergy conditions. EPO also helps with hair loss or a dull coat with excessive moulting, and helps ease the pain from arthritis to improve a dog’s mobility.
Our colour enhancing spa treatments with 1% EPO will create a lustrous, shiny coat.
Blue Ribbon – for white coats to encourage optimum brightness.
Red Ribbon - for dogs with copper, brown or red coats this shampoo will brighten and enhance your pet’s true colours.
Black Beauty - for black coats this shampoo will restore the coat’s natural colour richness.
Sparkle bath – suitable for all coats to bring out the absolute best shine.
Aromatherapy calming bath
A deep cleansing spa treatment suitable for all breeds. The shampoo includes essences of lavender and mint to soothe and calm distressed animals whilst bathing in unfamiliar surroundings.
Delicate touch Hypo-allergenic
Containing Aloe Vera this is a tearless, ultra-mild shampoo ideal both for puppies and adults with the most sensitive skin.
Creme rinse conditioning treatment
Ideal for de-tangling and reviving a pet’s coat this shine enhancing conditioner with oatmeal also helps to re-moisturise the skin and coat. The conditioner will leave your pet’s coat soft, rich and luxurious.
Quick Visits
You are welcome to book a Quick Visit if your pet requires, for example, nail clipping, ear cleaning or tidy up. A Quick Visit starts at £8.

Grooming appointments are available from 9am - 6pm Monday thru Saturday. Grooming is not normally available on Sunday. Please also note that if you have an early appointment, the salon will be open although the boutique doesn’t open until 10.30am.
